Balmar's new Duo Charge battery charger has the capability to charge two battery banks from a single charger, without having to employ any combiners, switches or isolators.

The Duo Charge monitors the house battery and isolates the batteries to be charged. Once it senses voltage of more than 13 volts, it opens up a pathway between the house and start battery banks, and up to 30 amps is sent to the start batteries. Four types of programs for different battery types are built-in to the Duo Charge, allowing it to handle deep-cycle flooded, standard flooded, gel and absorbed glass mat battery types. It can be mounted on a bulkhead or a stringer.
